What is Jampa Alf up to Now?
Inspired by Derek Sivers, this is my ‘Now’ page. Not a general background of me (about page), rather an up to date version of what am I doing/working on ‘Now’.
Radical Existential Listening
After a 3 years I left my Buddhist community. As a metamodern Milarepa wanna be, its’ clear to me that I need both deep contemplative practice and to unleash beauty in a chaotic world.
What I am (or was) working on:
I am on a full-time solitary retreat in Crestone, Colorado as of November 2024 at the Center for Contemplative Research (under Alan Wallace). It will likely be 18-24 months, maybe longer. Please pray for me — I will be praying and singing for you.
I began the mind bending and arduous Tibetan Vajrayana Preliminaries (Ngondro). Previously I was too arrogant, rational, and closed minded to consider such a thing. Humility is so underrated.
I killed my Blog ZenRants. Welcome Bardo Blues. Whether our heart-minds or our civilization — we are dancing in-between worlds. And something greater than us want’s to sing.
